Brooklyn-based brand CADET salutes modern and ancient military school styles using luxury fabrics and precise, technical design. “We leverage the history of military academies in every collection,” explain creative director Raul Arevalo and CEO (chief everything officer) Brad Schmidt. “We take the crisp structure of uniforms and layer in collegiate aspects.” Signature men’s pieces include bridge fly pants, double-breasted coats, and updated bomber jackets. While they are known for using richly textured wool, the duo has begun exploring georgettes, voiles, and fine merino wool since launching their women’s line.
